It Builds Character(s)
It Build Character(s) is a series of panels that focus on the social/emotional power of TTRPGs, as well as how we use these games to help kids grow! We discuss how we explore fantasy worlds in order to better face the real one, and the ways we can intentionally approach games to support a different kind of character development.
Teaching Kids to Play with Knives
This series of panels focuses on the big difficult topics that come up when running TTRPGs for kids. From identity to intimacy, from violence to grief, learn what the “knives” of roleplaying games are and how professional game facilitators work with young players to avoid, investigate, question, and confront the difficult topics they may come across in tabletop roleplaying games.
Making TTRPGs Fun for Kids!
After years of running games for kids we still get this reaction with every new group we encounter. Parents amazed their kids engage, other facilitators asking how we run games that appeal to younger audiences, how do we make games go beyond kid-friendly to kid-attractive? Join Games Unbound and a panel of professionals doing TTRPG work with kids to learn how we run tables that kids don’t want to leave, and how we help them make stories they talk about like they took the adventure themselves!
